This is a great little place. We four blokes left the ordering to the ladies. The entrees soon arrived and we had everything from fresh to deep fried spring rolls and calamari. All delicious with lovely dipping sauces. Have the 333 beer, it really complements this food. We had 2 lots of four mains which we also shared, again lots of delicious flavours and sauces. We were a noisy lot, as always, and we had a great time here with the friendly people who run it. The shame is, it’s a bit isolated from the buzzy restaurants of Newmarket Green because this is a hidden gem. Hopefully our big group attracted a few more people in. Go there and enjoy it! Rating: 5 / 5 – 11 May 2016 Alanhttp://zomato.com – Zomato We had the pleasure of dining at Miss Saigon restaurant last night. From the phone reservation to paying the bill, the owner and staff made the whole evening very enjoyable. They had even gone so far as to provide a bowl of water for my wife’s Guide Dog. We were seated in the courtyard garden that has a lovely atmosphere. The food was excellent and the addition of their home grown traditional herbs was inspiring. When we enquired about what a Jack Fruit was the waiter happily Googled it for us on his phone. We have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant and will certainly dine there again. Rating: 5 / 5 – 08 May 2016 Colinhttp://zomato.com – Zomato We dropped in with some friends after work on a Friday. The manager was really accommodating, seated us out in the garden area and was extremely friendly and helpful. He gave us some great advice on Vietnamese beers to go with our food choices. The food was great and the service really fast. A great experience! Jason the owner was most accommodating especially as I can’t eat too spicy food, he prepared something for me that was milder than they usually serve. The rest of the family wolfed down everything put in front of them and there were clean plates all round. We would definitely recommend this restaurant for a good value for money meal. Look forward to returning next time we visit lovely New Zealand. The service was good and we were made to feel very welcome. The garden dining area is well worth experiencing with the numerous hanging baskets from the ceiling and the window box’s through to the open shutter style windows all adding to the decor. We started with the fried spring rolls which were crispy and tasty. I had the fried rice wrapped in an thin egg omelette parcel which was well prepared with a light fragrance, however my personal preference is for a fried rice dish to be more flavoursome. My friend had the chicken and lemongrass and that was certainly a standout dish, the chicken was moist, flavoursome and extremely tasty. We finished off with a desert of coconut, fruit and icecream served in a hollowed out coconut, this was well presented however I would have expected a bit more fruit than 2 small pieces. Overall a very enjoyable meal with a great atmosphere with well prepared, tasy food and good service. A well located down town restaurant that caters to all those hankering for good Vietnamese food. Booking is advisable, howler they do cater for walk-in customers. they run a small and funky bar across the road and that helps pass the time and whet the appetite. Jason, the owner was on the floor and immediately made us feel at home. On a hot afternoon it was great to find out that it was Vietnam Beer week so we enjoyed a selection of really good Vietnamese lagers. The menu was concise but had a good range of traditional dishes on it so we decided to order a few and share them. WOW the food was simply amazing. You must try the traditional yellow curry that comes with a beautiful sticky rice – it was sensational. We also had some spring rolls that you could tell were freshly made and they had the mouth popping with fresh herbs and spices. A real find and I will definitely be returning given the high quality of food and the reasonable prices. Her spring rolls were a feast for the eyes and the palate. Best tastes from Vietnam – when the word is out you won’t get in without a reservation.
